The sun is below us and we're losing sight of the ground
Two endless seas, conjoined, swallowed us completely
Yielding, like toddlers, we are carried by the water

We flow freely, from one body to another,

Souls fuse together awkwardly in streams of love

And then the tsunami subsides and pulls us down
Sucks us into its depth and throws upon the rocky seabed
Thrashes our naked helpless bodies around the cliffs,
Dragging you and me along the sand like the dead

But we never die because we're basically immortal
The tide will come in and we'll rise up once again
Because only on the crest of a wave are we alive and real
